BIO
I am a life long Portland, Oregon resident and received
my BFA in photography from Marylhurst University in Lake
Oswego, Oregon. In the early 1980's I was an exhibition
committee member at Blue Sky Gallery and from 1987 - 2000 I
was the chief preparator/exhibition designer for the Portland
Art Museum. In 2000 I launched my own design business, Studio
Dave Inc. Since that time, I have worked on a variety of
projects that range from graphic, web and interactive design,
to exhibition design and photography. My photographs have
been exhibited at Blue Sky Gallery, the Portland Art Museum
and other galleries throughout Portland and Oregon. My
photographs are included in private and corporate collections
including the Portland Art Museum and George Eastman House.
My freelance work has appeared in such magazines and
newspapers as Plazm, LA Magazine, Artnews, The Oregonian,
Reflex, Artweek, The Downtowner and Willamette Week. I have
been participating in the PORTLAND GRID PROJECT since 2000.
